1Acceptance of terms
By using the TAUS platform, you accept and agree to comply with these Terms of Use. Your consent is also confirmed by ticking the box at registration and by confirming payment for a paid service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
By registering on the platform, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and have full legal capacity to enter into legally binding agreements, including transactions involving vehicles.
2Registration and account
Registration is required to use certain platform features:
- You are responsible for keeping your login details secure.
- Do not share your login details with third parties.
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
- One user may have only one account.
- Publishing listings requires phone number verification (SMS code).
- You may delete your account at any time in the settings; the consequences for paid services and your wallet balance are described in the "Paid services, wallet and refunds" section.
3Listings: rules and prohibitions
When posting listings you agree to:
- Provide accurate information about the vehicle or service.
- Not post prohibited content (fraudulent listings, fake documents).
- Comply with the legislation of Georgia when selling or buying.
- Update or remove outdated listings in a timely manner.
- If you post listings as part of a business activity (dealership, resale), state this in the listing or your profile.
Prohibited listings
It is prohibited to post on the Platform:
- listings for vehicles obtained unlawfully, wanted by authorities, or with forged or invalid documents;
- listings with knowingly false information — a non-existent "bait" price, inaccurate mileage, concealment of material defects;
- duplicates of the same vehicle, including from different accounts;
- listings on behalf of third parties without their consent and without the right to dispose of the vehicle;
- listings and content containing third parties' personal data without their consent (documents, phone numbers, and any special-category data);
- goods and services unrelated to the Platform's subject matter, and anything prohibited by the legislation of Georgia.
Such listings are removed from publication; gross or repeated violations trigger the measures described in the "Moderation and blocking" section.
4Intellectual property
You retain the rights to the photos and texts you upload. By posting content on the Platform, you grant TAUS a free, non-exclusive licence to store and process it (including creating thumbnails and applying watermarks), display it on the Platform and use it to promote your listing — for as long as the content remains posted. You warrant that you hold the rights to the content you upload and that posting it does not infringe third-party rights. You are responsible for third-party claims arising from the content you post.
The Platform, its design, program code, the TAUS name and logo, and the listings database belong to LLC "TAUS CORE" and are protected by the legislation of Georgia. Automated bulk copying (scraping) of the catalog and any commercial use of Platform materials without our written consent are prohibited.
5Paid services, wallet and refunds
Paid services
TAUS offers paid digital services to promote listings: the START, BOOST and ROCKET packages increase a listing's visibility in the catalog and search, and "Boost" refreshes its position. The services are digital and activate immediately after payment. Current prices are shown on the Pricing page; the final amount is always displayed before you confirm payment. The settlement currency is the Georgian lari (₾); prices include all applicable taxes. The contract for a paid service is concluded electronically: you select a service, see the total price and pay. By paying you confirm your consent to the immediate performance of the service; the moment of payment constitutes conclusion of the contract. Confirmation of the transaction is shown on screen and recorded in your wallet history (the Wallet page).
In addition to promotion, the Platform offers paid publication of listings beyond the free limit — the price is shown on the Pricing page and at the moment of publication. Promoted listings are marked with a special label in the catalog.
Wallet
The TAUS wallet is an internal balance for paying for the Platform's own digital services (promotion, paid publication). The balance is a prepayment for TAUS services: it is not electronic money, cannot be withdrawn (except for refunds under the rules below), cannot be transferred to other users, and earns no interest. Top-ups are made by bank card; the transaction history is available on the Wallet page, and a confirmation of every purchase is sent to your email.
Refunds, transfers and cancellation
The Platform's paid services are digital; by purchasing a service you consent to its immediate performance. The rules:
- Paid promotion services (START / BOOST / ROCKET, "Boost", paid publication) activate immediately after payment. By paying you confirm your consent to the immediate performance of the service and your acknowledgement that the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to a service begun immediately at your request (Art. 14(2)(a) of the Law of Georgia "On the Protection of Consumer Rights"). Accordingly, paid promotion is non-refundable and cannot be cancelled early; once the term ends on an active listing, the unused part is not refunded in money.
- Transfer of the remainder. If a listing is sold, unpublished or deleted before its paid promotion ends, the unused remainder of days does not burn: within 30 days you may transfer it ONCE, in full, to another of your active listings that has no promotion of its own. At transfer you may keep the tier, raise it or add days — paying the difference at the current rates. The transfer is one-time: if the new listing also ends before the term is over, the remaining days are not transferred again and are not refunded in money. A remainder not transferred within 30 days is cancelled. Arbitrary transfers between active listings outside this mechanism are not provided for.
- Additionally: operations priced at GEL 30 or less are not subject to the distance-contract rules at all (Art. 10(3)).
- The wallet balance is a prepayment for Platform services; it is not electronic money and cannot be transferred to other users. You may request the unspent balance back to the card it was topped up from, minus the bank's payment-processing fee (including before account deletion); after the account is deleted the balance is cancelled.
- A technical error of the Platform (double charge; a service paid for but not delivered) is always grounds for a full refund, regardless of the amount or time elapsed, with no deductions.
Send refund and transfer requests to info@taus.ge with the date, amount and operation code (available in your wallet history). Review takes up to 10 business days. Before confirming payment you may cancel the purchase simply by leaving the payment screen.
6Complaints and moderation
If you believe a listing or other content on the Platform violates the law or your rights (including copyright), let us know: use the "Report" button on the listing page or email info@taus.ge with a link to the content and the substance of the violation. We normally review substantiated complaints within 3 business days.
We review substantiated complaints and, where a violation is confirmed, promptly remove the content or restrict access to it. With respect to user content, TAUS acts as an intermediary (hosting provider): we do not pre-moderate it and bear no liability for it until we obtain actual knowledge of a violation.
Moderation and blocking
We may remove a listing from publication, restrict account features or block an account in the following cases:
- fraud or an attempt to deceive other users;
- posting prohibited listings or third-party content without the relevant rights;
- abuse of the service: spam, bulk registrations, circumventing blocks, interfering with the Platform's operation;
- any other violation of these Terms or the legislation of Georgia.
As a rule, measures escalate gradually: a warning → removal of the listing → account blocking; for gross violations (e.g. fraud) blocking may be immediate. The cost of paid services on listings removed for violations is not compensated. If you disagree with a measure, contact us and we will review your appeal.
7Liability
TAUS is an information platform connecting users: buyers and sellers, owners and renters, clients and service companies. All deals are concluded directly between users; the Platform is not a party to, an intermediary in, or a guarantor of any deal. We are not responsible for:
Condition and accuracy
The condition, quality and specifications of vehicles and services posted by users. The buyer or renter is responsible for inspecting the vehicle and its documents before the deal.
Deals and payments
All arrangements and payments take place directly between the parties — in sales, rentals and service orders. Each party is responsible for performing its own obligations.
Rentals
Rental terms (deposit, insurance, fuel, restrictions) are set by the owner and accepted by the renter before the rental starts. Responsibility for the vehicle during the rental period, damage and fines is settled between the parties.
Services
The quality, timing and warranties of work performed by service companies are the provider's responsibility. A booking via the Platform is a request; the service contract arises between the client and the provider.
Act in good faith: check the documents and the condition of the vehicle before the deal, and record key arrangements (price, timing, deposit) in writing — for example, in the TAUS chat: the conversation is saved and can help confirm what was agreed if needed.
Limitation of liability
The platform is provided "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation and are not liable for temporary failures or data loss due to circumstances beyond our control. Nothing in these Terms limits consumer rights provided by the legislation of Georgia, nor releases the Platform from liability where such release is prohibited by law.
8Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the legislation of Georgia. Disputes not resolved through negotiation are heard by the courts of Georgia. As a consumer, you have the right to seek protection of your rights from the Competition and Consumer Protection Agency of Georgia (gcca.gov.ge).
The Platform's services are addressed to users in the territory of Georgia. The Terms are published in Georgian, Russian and English; in case of discrepancy, the Georgian text prevails. The invalidity of any individual provision of the Terms does not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.
9Changes to terms
TAUS reserves the right to change these Terms of Use at any time. Material changes will be communicated at least 15 days before they take effect — via platform notifications or email.
Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes your acceptance of the new version of the terms.
